Tying the Fly

Tube in vice with orange thread ran to end. Orange boar bristle and gold wire rib tied in.

Thread taken to front of tube with holographic gold tinsel tied in.

Coat thread with a fine layer of varnish, wrap tinsel to end and then back to tie in point. Fix orange cock hackle and wind to end of tube palmer fashion, secure in by winding rib up through.

 

A wing of mixed bucktail, in yellow,orange & black is tied in (mix in your preference ie, equal amounts of each). Jungle cock eyes are tied on each side, and the head is varnished.
